I applied for my MES statement at the end of July, and it looks like my application is still 'being processed'. How long will it take before I receive my statement? I am conscious of the October 31st deadline.

Thanks

Hey @Jem28 and @Fntify

This is our latest advice about delayed MES statements.

We're letting you know to lodge your tax return by the due date as though you have your MES.

When you receive your MES, if it is different to what you lodged in your tax return, you’ll need to lodge an amendment. See our website for more info about the MES delay.

Hi there @Jem28

We've been advised Services Australia are having delays with processing MES applications.

We're currently assesing the impact of these delays and will provide further advice and guidance on our website in the coming days.

We understand tax returns are due on the 31st of October but please hold on tight for now, we'll provide you with an update here as soon as we can.

Hi

I am also following up on this as we have waited for 10 weeks now and still have not received MES. How should we proceed since that we only have less than 4 days left including the weekend?

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to us. I will start lodging right away.

I was told by Medicare that it would take 3 months for them to get to me and that they are still processing applications in June.

Hey @millerckon,

You need to lodge the tax return as if you have received the MES. If any changes are required after the return has been finalised, you are able to lodge an amendment to correct the MES entitlement.
