I have worked in Australia for 2 years and am now looking to withdraw my superannuation funds. However, I do not have the necessary identification documents required to verify my identity and claim my super. Specifically:
- I do not have my original myGov ID that was used to set up my super account
- I do not have a valid Australian passport
- I do not have an Australian birth certificate
- I do not have a valid Australian visa as the passport I used has since expired, so there is no way to match my current identity with visa records
Given I no longer have these standard identification documents generally required to process a super withdrawal, what options do I have? Is there an alternate process I can follow to verify my identity without these documents and successfully withdraw my super that I am entitled to?
Any advice on additional steps or options in my case with limited identifying documents would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if there is an alternate verification process or if I have any options in this situation. Thank you for your assistance.
