I'm the treasurer for a P&C operated school canteen. In the past, I've lodged their IAS and Superannuation via the BAS agent portal, but I'm no longer a BAS agent and believe I now need to lodge via Online Services for Business. The first step in that process is to link the entity to a myGov account, but the canteen doesn't have a myGov account. I've tried several times for weeks now, to phone the ATO for a linking code or any other support, but I'm continually advised "we're experiencing a high volume of calls and can't answer your call, please visit our website" which of course is no use to me! Alex, the chatbot advises she's unable to assist and that I should try phoning the ATO... so here I am, hoping someone in this lovely community may be able to point me in the right direction!

Hi @Nicole_Smith,

To access the P&C in online services for business (depending on how it's been set up), you first would need to be listed as an associate on the ABR. If you're not listed, then someone who is will need to link the business in RAM then add you as an authorised user.

You've mentioned trying to link the business to myGov - This is used by individuals, not businesses (unless they're a sole trader). You may have gotten a little mixed up, but this would be done in RAM. 😊

If you've previously been a BAS agent, the login process is similar. You'd still login using your myGovID but in online services for business. Then any businesses you have linked in RAM will pop up for you to choose from to access on online services.

If the ABR isn't up to date for the associates, you may need to notify us of changes.
