Hi,

I am an Australian citizen and will be leaving Australia to live abroad. I have lived in Australia for past 9 years and now I'd like to transfer my superannuation to my new super fund in the Netherlands upon arrival or withdraw it if the first option is not plausible.

What would be the procedure in cases like this and which one is the better option. Based on what I read online, I'm not eligible for DASP.

Thanks in advance.

Elias

Hi @elias.saber,

If you move overseas permanently you'll still be subject to the same superannuation rules as the rest us in Australia.

This means that you won't be able access your super until you reach preservation age or meet the retirement criteria.
