Hi, I have called the ATP 3 times in the last month to try to resolve this error code Error code: PAB.DE.0009. I get to the page where I add in my TFN and address and thereafter the error code pops up. I got a linking code from the centre agent but there is no option to add it anywhere. Please help

Hi @Kirankaur,


The error PAB.DE.0009 means your account has an extra layer of security on it to protect your sensitive info. Because of this you'll need to speak with our Client Identity Support Centre every time you need to access or link your ATO account.


Linking codes are only valid for 24 hours so you may need to request another one. If the linking code button does not appear:


  • select any 2 questions (excluding Notice of Assessment)
  • type zero (in numerals) at all required fields
  • select submit

You should then be linked to us successfully.
