The Mygov ID app won't verify my identity with my current driver's licence. Plus I have also changed my name due to marriage, so I need to provide my marriage certificate with my passport. I have called Mygovid Support on multiple occasions to ask for assistance but my call is never answered. How can I prove my identity? I was born in Australia.
Hello Emma161,
From what you're explaining you may be able to achieve what you're attempting.
1-Reset the myGovID app
2-Register myGovID with your original email address
3-Input your maiden name as originally registered
4-Verify your Passport with your maiden name
5-Verify your driver licence, this should then trigger the "Verify your name change"
5a-If the driver licence won't verify update your medicare card with your married name and then attempt to verify in lieu of driver licence
6-Input your marriage certificate
If this is unsuccessful, you'll need to call the myGovID support line and direct the service agent to escalate your enquiry to the internal support team and request that your myGovID be cancelled so you may start over.
