I was a former temporary resident, but now I am an Australian citizen. I tried to consolidate my several super accounts into one account. However, the system doesn't have the "Transfer" green button for me to do that. Then I tried calling the ATO staff to see if they could solve the issue. However, one of their staff spent time working on that but was unable to fix it. She said it may take 28 days that long to fix this issue..... Then she even said if the issue not able to be fixed, then it means that I wouldn't be able to consolidate my super accounts into one account as other Australian citizens....

For what she said, I was pretty upset because it will be unfair if they do not allow me to consolidate my super accounts as other Australian citizens. Australian government law ever states that they value equality and fairness. Every Australian citizen should have the same rights of doing the same thing.

If they allow me to consolidate my super accounts into one as other citizens, how fair would it be?

And when will it take so long like 28 days to just simply give me the access to the green "Transfer" button? Shouldnt the government care for the benefits and welfare of citizens? The costs are very high when holding several super accounts.

Please help. Thanks

Howdy @Yin2025

Yes, your super can be rolled over before 28 days. This would require the superfunds doing the transfer instead of us.

Superfunds have 28 days to let us know that you are their member so this is why options to transfer via our site might take 28 days.

If you want to avoid those fees and get your monies worth out of your superfund, request they do the transfer for you!
