Hello,

I have been doing my tax returns since 2018, and I've only just learned about claiming the zone tax offset which I think I am eligible for. I believe I can still amend my 2 most recent income tax returns based on the 2 year limit. Is this correct? Also, is there anything I can do about the other 4 tax returns I've done over the years (oldest one being 2017-18)? I've read a bit about lodging an objection. Would that work in this situation? Thank you so much!

Hey @Capsule8440

You're correct! You can lodge an amendment inside the two year limit using myTax. For tax returns outside the two year limit, you can still amend them but, you'll need to lodge an objection.

Info on how to do this is here.
