I understand there could be a confusing line between tax minimization and tax avoidance in the spirit of the law.

Regarding, for example, husband and wife, where to minimize their tax bills, they reallocate assets between themselves in the sole objective to lower combined tax bill. Considering they belong in the same family. Can I have an example where this could be considered as tax avoidance? Just to understand the concept more.
