I have mailed my paper return for FY 23-24 from overseas to the following address.
Australia Taxation Office
GPO Box 9845
Sydney NSW 2001 Australia
I was informed by the local post office from my country that the paper return is currently waiting for collection at Sydney GPO Post Office. It will be returned to the sender address if the paper return is not collected within the retention period (14 days)
Could anyone let me know how long it takes for ATO to collect the paper return from Sydney GPO Post Office? Or Is the paper return sent to a wrong address? The ATO GPO Box is located at the Sydney GPO Post Office if I am not mistaken? I am not sure how it is supposed to work and am worried if there is an issue from the delivery side.
