I'm currently working a rotating 12 hour shifts days and nights as a permanent employee "lifestyle roster" so over every month equals 7x 12 hour day shifts Monday to Sunday and 7x 12 hour night shifts Monday to Sunday and 14 days off. Because I only work 5 week days per month that the superannuation is calculated for I'm only getting $310.88 per month. My annual salary is $101612.16 at 11.5% super my monthly super contribution should be $898.87 per month?

Hi @Burrows83,

It's really hard to say without knowing the ins and outs of your arrangement. But super must be paid on all ordinary time earnings (OTE).

Whether you work on weekends or weekdays shouldn't matter - providing these are your ordinary work hours.

There are some payments that don't attract super though like overtime (depending on your award or agreement).

Have a look at this info about when employers are required to pay super.
