I just got a payment from MTS a couple of hours ago but as I went to check the amount it doesn't seem to match what I was stated to be refunded on my ATO tax notice assessments. I will admit I haven't been filing my tax forms for some years but considering at any point I never owned the ATO money I was never contacted to claim the credit. I had put forward my 23-24 last year December and had received it, the estimation and notice stated $1,242 and that was what I received. Now I had recently filed my 20-21 and my 21-22, they were estimated and stated in being $760 and $1,102 respectively both in their indivudal tax notice assesment as well as my statement of account yet I have only received $1,738 making it a $124 difference from the original and expected $1,862 credit I assume I should of been given.
So my questions are:
- Is the payment from "Mts Online Assist Ta Oatr" from the ATO?
- Why is there a difference in what I have been paid vs what was stated in multiple forms?
- If I have been incorrectly paid what is the who and how is the best person who may be able to assist me?
P.s My bank account is with ANZ if that makes a difference
