I made a myGov account a few years ago on and then had the myGov passkey app on that phone. I no longer have the phone or use the phone number registered to that. I have asked for help and it has said to create a new myGov account. I have done that and now when I upload ID documents it says it’s used in another account and kicks me out. I don’t know how to fix this I cannot access my old account. Someone help!

Are you also using a different email?


If you're attempting to set up myID using a different email address, then the documents you verify will need to be different from the ones you used last time. Deleting the app and reinstalling it won't remove the data that's already stored against a previous email address.


If that's the case, you'll need to speak to the myID team to have the email address released.
