Hello. Me and my wife arrived in Melbourne on a student visa in the end of februrary 2025. We brought about 15k+ cash with us which we declared in the customs and then deposited in both of our accounts. We have not started working yet. In the start of june we brought some additional cash(7.4K) from abroad into my wife's account through bank transfer. My wife has finished her first semester and we are now looking for jobs. What should be the procedure to file a tax return for us? i have absolutely no idea and with limited money at our disposal, we dont want to consult a tax agent. Can we file a tax return on our own? And whats the procedure?
