I applied for a TFN via Australia post in early November 2024 on behalf of my infant child as they have an ETF account set up. I submitted the application after attending the local post office to supply identification documents and have not heard anything since. I have attempted to call 13 28 61 on a number of occasions since February and there is no option to speak to anyone and I am directed to an automated voice response and hung up on. Australia post provided me with a reference number to track progress of the application, however I cannot find anywhere to enter the tracking number. It is now July and I have received no update. Could someone advise how I can get an update on this application and why it is taking so long?

That is the correct number to call. If you're having trouble getting through you can try calling at off peak times. When you reach the options menu you want to select option 2 then option 1.
