I was always the only person on my health insurance policy but up until December 2024 my mum was paying the premiums. Since then, I've been paying the premiums. Would I put my claim code as A or F?

Hi @sunny_asteroid,

Sounds like your claim code should be A, since you were the only person on the policy and you’re now paying the premiums yourself.

Claim code F is only used if you’re covered as a dependent child on someone else’s policy – and not entitled to the rebate yourself. Based on what you’ve said, that doesn’t apply.

Your insurer might’ve already sent a statement or prefilled the info in your tax return. If not, you can usually find it by logging into your health fund account (if you want to double check).

Also sharing our private health insurance policy details page in case you’d like more info.
