We understand that the rate for petrol cars remains at $0.88 cents. However, we have seen discussions about the rate dropping to $0.042 cents for electric vehicles. We would like to know if this rate is correct for businesses to reimburse their employees per kilometre and ensure that this includes all of the vehicle related reimbursements required. Thank you.

88 cents per km is for all cars (petrol, electric, diesel). Vehicle only needs to meet the definition of a car. See below
