This relates to the great number of employees working under contractor arrangements through labour hire arrangement and get jipped with a measly 38 hr's worth of super.

As we could be deemed full time to our employers and typically hired out as a service to the clients, are we entitled to be classed as full time employees for this reason

Hi @SmallDave,

Regarding employment rights (like whether you should be classed as a full-time employee) you'd need to speak with Fair Work Ombudsman.

You could also speak with your union rep (If applicable) or write to your local member of parliament (MP).

We can definitely help explain your super entitlements.

If you're an independent contractor working mainly for one business, you may actually be considered an employee for super purposes.

This means they’re required to pay super at the current SG rate, based on your ordinary time earnings.
