The ATO asked me to call them regarding my tax and I’ve tried calling them multiple times over the last week. No one ever answers and I can’t do what I need to online they just say call and complete.

We are in peak demand for tax time, it can help to call earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon, our lines are open from 8 am to 6 pm weekdays. If you're unhappy with the service offering you can lodge a complaint.
I have phoned the ATO at a range of times over multiple days. Each time they have a message saying they are experiencing peak calls and cannot take calls. This is not an issue that can be managed online. This service is unacceptable for people who have non standard issues and are having to call many times and go through multiple messages only to be told that they can't answer your call. In addition, the options are not relevant to my issue so it is difficult to know which options to select.
