This is a tricky one. I am both a UK & AU citizen. I left Aus in 2012 & returning for work for the first time in a few weeks.
My employer has asked me to contact the ATO to check/activate my TFN, BUT, I can't get in touch with them as i can't increase my ID strength on myID/My.Gov as:
- My passport is more than 3 years out of date (won't accept it as ID)
- Don't have a driving liscense
- I DO have my citizenship certificate
How do I get hold of anyone at the ATO, is my only option calling them? How can I prove who I am to them on the phone if I don't have the required ID strength to get any answers?
