Lodged my Tax Return online on 12th July 2023. The effective date has been shown 19th July 2023. The status has been "Balancing Account" for more than 30 days. Have received SMS messages telling me manual processing is required and I don't need to do anything. The last message was sent on 9th August 2023. Since then nothing has changed. My Tax Return this year is the same as last year's. What is going on with our ATO?

No I have not spoken to ATO because I am told that I don't need to do anything from their SMS messages. Yes I regularly (almost every second day) login my ATO account to check. Nothing has changed, ie same status and same effective day.
