i am trying to link my ATO and mygov together but everytime i try it says my bank details dont match the ato records i have tried every bank account i have and they all say the same thing i have tried my tax offices details and still nothing has worked what ever i try it just keeps saying "bank details provided do not match the details the ATO has"

This can happen if you have never lodged before as we wouldn't have any bank details on record for you. It can also happen if you use a tax agent as we may have their bank details on file. Have a go linking by the other questions if you have that information, our article outlines the other options.

I tried to do the exact same thing but when I called customer service, they told me that my passport number does not match my profile. I have no other means of identification but my passport as a foreign student. They were not able to help me connect my myGov and I am at a loss at what else I can do. I spoke to ATO last year when I first applied for a TFN and they were able to identify me and now they're telling me I can't... Could I get some help with this?
