How to get a Linking Code?

Hi,

I'm trying to get a Linking Code but whenever i call the phone line i'm told that the ATO is experiencing peak demand and the automated system hangs up on me telling me to go online for assistance.

I've searched the community and have found that the only way to obtain a Linking Code is via telephone. I've tried calling on 4 different days at different times in the day but keep getting the same response.

How am I meant to obtain a Linking Code when my call isn't even being taken?

Any assistance with this would be incredible,
