Hi

How do I notify the ATO that I have reached age 60, am permanently retired and wish to claim my unclaimed super?

Thanks

Hiya @richard.w,

If you've reached age 60, are permanently retired, and want to claim your unclaimed super, you'll need to follow different processes depending on where your super is held.

If it's ATO held super, you can withdraw it online through your myGov account linked to the ATO. Just select Super > Manage > Withdraw ATO-held super. Alternatively, you can use the paper form.

If your super is with a super fund, you need to contact your fund directly to notify them that you've met the retirement condition of release. They'll confirm the amount available to you based on when you ceased employment after turning 60.

Thanks Jay.

My unclaimed super is held by the ATO but my 60th birthday doesn't trigger an online option to release the funds.

I can't get past the non-applicable medical or temporary visa options.
